One Year Later in Afghanistan...

Last August, the unthinkable occurred: the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan. Waves of refugees clamored to escape, many crossing borders into the neighboring countries of Pakistan and India.

Immediately, our faithful prayer partners around the world began to intercede, while our frontline workers were on location meeting and caring for the refugees. Essentials like food, shelter, and medicine were a desperate need; and with your support we were able to provide them to grateful families.

Since then, our frontline workers have established vocational training and tutoring centers in the refugee communities to help them start a new life where God has placed them. And we are seeing the fruit off these projects!

Nagina and Aria (pictured above) are two young refugee girls who have just come to a church for the first time in their lives. As Muslims from Afghanistan, they had never heard the Gospel message or experienced the kindness of God.  But the unconditional love and joy they saw in our co-workers, drew them. The congregation was excited to have them, as was Brother John, an English instructor who invited them!

As they hear the Word of God, it is impacting their lives – and they want to know more! God is doing an amazing work and for this we are truly grateful!

Many other Afghanis are curious about the Lord Jesus.  Our teams arereaching out to them as well. Please pray for Nagina, Aria, and all other Afghanis that the Lord is drawing to Himself as we continue to surround them with the love and care of Jesus.

Please also prayerfully consider supporting our work in Afghanistan as we continue to minister the love of Jesus to those in need!
